Early Childhood Educators

Tabourie Child Care & Preschool is seeking Early Childhood Educators with either Diploma (or working towards) or Early Childhood Teacher qualifications to join us on either a part-time or full-time basis.
Duties & responsibilities:
Work within our experienced group of educators to provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment
Supervision and care of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years
Taking instruction from management & Lead Educators
General cleaning & upkeep tasks
Preparing centre documentation including children's portfolios (if in ECT or Diploma role)
Requirements & attributes:
Prior experience working with children

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Assistant Director/2IC
Location: Glenore, NSW.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director/ 2IC to join our team with the possibility of future career progression.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about giving back to the community and working with a not for profit, family focused childcare provider who offers a caring space for children to learn and grow. Our preschool is a place of fun, caring, community and learning.
Our community Preschool has been operating for more than 30 years. The centre is based in Glenorie and caters for children aged 2-5 from 7.30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
The perfect candidate will have excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in management.
Working closely with the Centre Director, Management Committee and Educators regarding all aspects of the operation of the service in line with relevant regulations and procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
· Creating a stimulating environment to foster and support children’s development
Contributing to the workplace by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and information, mentoring and guiding less experienced staff and working as a good team player.
Building strong, meaningful relationships with our families, community and service providers
Working with the Director and Management Committee to review Key Performance Indicators for the centre, including budgets, parent feedback, incident records, occupancy and staff retention.
Ensuring that policies, procedures, checklists and routines are implemented consistently.
The successful candidate will have:
A Diploma in Children’s Services, a Bachelor of Education- Early Childhood (or working towards).
Experience in a similar role or Leadership role
A clear understanding of the national law and regulations
Extensive knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards and A&R process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high-quality care
Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team of educators

Child and Family Practitioner
Location: Warilla Education and Care Service
Status: Fixed term Part time – 16 hours

About the Service
Warilla Education and Care Service is a 28 place service which is managed by ECTARC on behalf of the Illawarra Women’s Health Centre. Our service is located in the heart of Warilla, nestled amongst local community services. We offer permanent regular, occasional and emergency care (charged at an hourly rate) positions for children aged between birth – 5 years of age. Our educators build secure attachments with the children & families enrolled in the service that support children to feel safe, secure and valued.
The service is inclusive to all children and families and are sensitive to & respectful of promoting a greater understanding of Australia’s Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultures. Educators value play in encouraging children’s learning, thinking, imagination, & communication; & understand how important play is for children to develop trust & form friendships with peers.
Warilla Education and Care Service implements the Inclusive Engagement project, a funded program through Communities for Children Shellharbour. Through the program the service employs a Child and Family Practitioner, whose role is to provide support for families and their parenting. The service also works closely with a multidisciplinary team (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist) from Noah’s Inclusion Service who visit weekly. They support the developmental needs of children’s by working alongside educators, building their capacity to ensure children’s everyday learning environments are optimal. Our service has just undertaken Assessment and Rating against the National Quality Standards for the very first time with the outcome pending.
About the Role
The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and the role will provide:
support to families attending the service including outreach support to other community/early intervention services.
support and build the capability of the educators to enhance relationships with families, sensitively discuss children’s development and access to early intervention services.
training, coaching and mentoring of educators to strengthen the implementation of trauma informed practice, the Circle of Security (CoS) and attachment theory at the service.

Qualifications

About the Service
ECTARC Wallaroo ECTARC Wallaroo is a 44-place service providing early childhood education and care for children from birth to school age in Shellharbour on the traditional land of the Dharawal peoples.
We are within walking distance of Nazareth Primary School, Shellharbour Library, local shopping centre and Elanora Nursing Home, creating many opportunities for our children to get involved with our local community. Wallaroo provides an inclusive environment that welcomes all children and their families. We ensure the program meets the developmental needs of each child, with a holistic approach ensuring that all children are truly integrated into our program.
